And a boat is waiting upon the beach At the silver-sanded shore So hurt not your knees, my beauteous one As you hurt before I shall come to thee again And knock at thy palace door To hold you in my arms forever And to love you for evermore Stay thou then, inside thy palace For am coming to thee To take you to the land of fairy Waiting for you and me.

![]() The birds cried: Prince, Prince We are from lover of old Where the sun shines no more And the days are chilly and cold The queen is fainting in love for you For she must have you near So hearken O' Prince, and climb on our wings And let us take you there The prince surprised, asked the seagulls: What message do thou bring ? Message of a queen, replied the seagulls And here is a diamond ring Let me fly upon your wings O' birds And carry me over the sea Take me to thy queen tonight Who is far from me So they took the prince upon their wings And crossed they many a sea They crossed the dales, they crossed the vales And many a leafless tree Then the seagulls brought the prince Where the grass is yet not green Flags flown and trumpets blown He entered the palace of queen Soldiers marched and the peoples cheered: Hey Nonny, Nonny Surely the sun will shine for the queen So be blythe and bonny. Now the prince landed, in the land Where the grass is yet not green Flags flown, and trumpets blown Delighting the palace of queen. Queen blushed and ran afar For shyness melted her heart At seeing the beloved face to face After years apart She hid her face behind her veil And didn't know what to do Prince came and removed the veil Saying: I am with you Queen fell and kissed his feet Crying in her great joy Prince lifted and told the queen Come my beauteous toy ![]()
